The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at resolving issues regarding the training of Pharmaceutical Technologists in Polytechnics and other institutions across Nigeria.
The signing ceremony, held at the Federal Ministry of Education Headquarters, highlights the commitment of all parties involved, chaired by the Minister of State for Education, Dr. Tanko Sununu.
The event was witnessed by the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education and other Directors.
Under the MoU, both parties agreed to accredit and train only the National Diploma in Pharmacy Technicians.
The Executive Secretary of NBTE and the Registrar/CEO of PCN expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Federal Ministry of Education for facilitating the resolution of this longstanding issue, which they see as a significant achievement reflecting the renewed hope agenda of the current administration.
