US Missionary Lucas Richards was apprehended for the alleged attempted murder of his pregnant girlfriend, Jessica Lloyd, in Liberia.
Despite being married in the USA, Richards engaged in a relationship with Lloyd, resulting in her pregnancy.
Reports suggest that he made attempts to harm her by slashing her throat and administering injections to induce a miscarriage. However, despite these accusations, Richards was acquitted by a Liberian court.
Nevertheless, the Liberian Government intends to prevent him from departing the country.
