Disgruntled retired police officers, participating in the contributory pension scheme, held a protest in Abuja. A video shared by Channels TV on Tuesday showed the retirees chanting for their rights while holding placards.
These officers, who came from various states, expressed their anger over the hardship faced due to the National Pension Commission’s (PENCOM) failure to pay their rightful pensions for several months. They are calling on the government to remove them from the contributory pension scheme altogether.

This hardship dey really touch everybody. Omo

The government no suppose Dey do this kind thing now
Knowing fully well the security of the nation should be a priority
Abeg make them pay them o e no easy for this country lately
So even federal government owe pensioners
But why will government owe pension
Pension is suppose to be one of the top priorities!
They should pay them na abi why are they holding their money
Some of this police officers are wicked and I don’t pity them one bit because in one way or the other things they do to their juniors while serving is evil
Government has turn to worse
As if when he was serving he never collected bride or he was upright in all he does, whatever evil we do has a way of coming back to hurt us
So even federal government owe pensioners
This is totally unfair, this country is just a mess. I hope you guys win the battle.
