The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) recently announced that students from state-owned universities and colleges will be included in their student loan program.
A statement by NELFUND’s media relations lead, Nasir Ayitogo, clarified that all public tertiary institutions are part of the program.
NELFUND is launching the program in phases to ensure efficient management. The initial phase will focus on federal institutions, with the second phase extending the program to state institutions shortly after.
“NELFUND is committed to supporting all eligible students, regardless of whether they attend a federal or state institution,” the statement reads. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda prioritizes ensuring all deserving students have access to the financial resources needed to achieve their educational goals.”
