The video of a Nigerian woman criticizing famed Port Harcourt-based preacher Pastor David Ibiyeomie has sparked outrage on social media.
The woman, identified as Onyinyechi Blossom, rebuked Pastor Ibiyeomie for his recent sermons on tithes and offerings.
Blossom shared a video of Pastor Ibiyeomie explaining to his congregation the amount of their yearly paycheck they should contribute to the church as an offering.
According to Pastor Ibiyeomie, members of his congregation should give at least 20% of their earnings to the church monthly, surpassing their tithe.
In response, Onyinyechi called Pastor Ibiyeomie a wicked person disguised as a pastor, branding him as evil and lacking conscience. She questioned how an average Nigerian, who doesn’t earn much, can survive if they give away 30% of their earnings as tithes and offerings. The lady’s critique of Pastor Ibiyeomie’s video prompted various reactions on social media.
Some users condemned pastors for allegedly using psychology to exploit their members financially, while others defended Pastor Ibiyeomie, stating they are members of his church and have no complaints.
The comments showcased a range of opinions, from accusations of greed and manipulation to assertions of individual beliefs and freedoms.

I am really puzzled on why Jesus was silent on tithing in the new testament but the so called pentecostal pastor are so loud about it, it’s baffles me
Hmmm… That’s left for God to say… Our God doesn’t judge as human… That’s why he is God
Exactly
Their judgement is not in human hands
This woman matter wan start again o
Hahaha that’s too much nah ….20% of their income…I know Jesus self won’t like it either
You don’t go around to conden what works for others and he is not forcing anyone to give.
Please you people should tell him to go and rest
Hmmmm may we get to understand and know God ourselves then you can know what is right or wrong
Amen ooo
It’s a big prayer point
I don’t think she or anyone has the right to condemn any so called man of God… Being right or wrong is left for God to judge
It’s well o, it’s all left in God’s hands.
Hmmmn it is well.
I reserve my comment
It’s between him and his God
