Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ifu Ennada, has sparked a conversation on social media with her bold statement about men who prioritize their mothers over their wives.
According to her, men who put their mothers above their wives are not ready for marriage and have no business being married.
Ifu Ennada took to her Instagram page to share her thoughts, writing, “To all the men who place their mothers above their wives. I believe any man who places his mother above his wife is not ready for marriage. In fact, he has no business being married.”
She backed up her stance by referencing the Bible, specifically Genesis 2:24, which states, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
She wrote in full; “To all the men who place their mothers above their wives. I believe any man who places his mother above his wife is not ready for marriage. In fact, he has no business being married. Before you argue with me, let Genesis 2.24 be your guide.”
Ifu Ennada’s statement has sparked a debate on social media, with some agreeing with her and others disagreeing. While some see her point, others believe that a man can love and respect both his mother and wife equally.
This girl no well at all o
Because she spoke the truth???
Even the bible says A man shall leave his father and mother and cling to his wife
Once a man marries his first priority becomes his wife and kids before his parent
No one is saying men shouldn’t love their mother
Your boyfriend fit dey read your comment like that ooo 😂
Nah wah oooo…
Why she no come ready for marriage
I think she is slightly right though but the man must know how to balance things so there wouldn’t be any issues
I hope when she becomes a mother the story will not change
The most important thing is balance
This is fact she just spilled
If you can’t leave your mother then stay away from marriage then
What is needed is balancing. Not to neglect anyone
I think she has a point there, a man should not place mother above above his wife, it should be balanced
She has a point. But there should be a balance.
She has a point. There should be a balance. Each should be given the respect they deserve
