In a report by Vanguard, Yoruba Nation agitators, speaking through their Deputy Coordinator, Victor Adewale, issued a strong warning. Adewale demanded Governor Makinde release those Yoruba Nation agitators arrested in Ibadan, calling them “our warriors.” He warned of potential conflict if their demands were ignored and urged Yoruba people to join protests in large numbers.
According to the statement, “I’m directed to warn you for the last time. Governor Makinde must release the warriors he arrested at the secretariat in Ibadan. If he continues to hold them, wherever you are, you will be rooted out. Our proclamation letters are with them. President Tinubu, Tunji Disu, Makinde, and all Amotekun in Yoruba land and the police, you must release those guys immediately. The war is coming, and I want to implore Yoruba people to go out en masse to protest.”
Recall that some members of the Yoruba Nation agitators went to the Oyo State secretariatin army camouflage uniforms, raised their flag on the building, and were arrested by the police.
