The Adamawa State Police Command today, Sunday, April 14, 2024, gave details of how an 18-year-old teenager killed his age mate during a violent clash which also landed him in the hospital.
The command announced the development on its X handle, saying the teenager, whose name was given as Usman Umar, has a case of culpable homicide to answer despite sustaining injuries on his head and lying on the hospital bed.

According to the command, Umar engaged in a violent clash with another teenager, whose name was given as Usman Abubakar, aged 18 years, over an argument, stabbing the teenager and killing him in the process.
The command wrote: “Usman Umar, 18 years old, is currently admitted to one of our hospitals receiving treatment, feeling pains with severe injuries on his head.
“Yet, police detectives are standing by to arrest him for the offence of culpable homicide by stabbing and killing his friend, Usman Abubakar, 18 years old, who is now in the mortuary due to a minor argument.
“The two of them engaged in a fierce fight using knives and attacking themselves. Police arrived and rushed both of them to hospital where one was confirmed dead.”
The command added that Umar would be put in police custody immediately after recovering from the injuries he sustained, after which he will be charged to court at the conclusion of the investigation.
