Junior pope: AGN suspends movies involving boat rides

The Actor Guide of Nigeria has stopped all film productions involving riverine areas and boat rides following the tragic boat accident that claimed the life of Nollywood actor,Junior pope,and three crew members.
The guild’s president,Ejezie Rollas,disclosed this in a circular dated April 11,2024 and posted on social media on Thursday.

Additional actors are barred from participating in any film produced by Adanma Luke until further notice.

Luke is the producer of the movie titled ” The other side of life”,in which junior pope was starring before his death.

The AGN statement read,” following the tragic incident of a boat mischap that claimed the life of junior pope and three other crew members at waterside of River Nigeria cable point Asaba on April 10,all films that involve riverine areas and boat riding are hereby suspended indefinitely.” There should be no shoot on all locations Nationwide on Thursday April 11,2024

This decision is the best ever… I wonder why anyone involving boat rides shouldn’t have the knowledge of swimming in the first place…

They are doing the best thing……but that’s not necessary they should just take precautions that anybody going through water should make sure the person put on life jacket

That’s a very good decision following the death of three people, every boat rider should have life jackets on their boats before they will be allowed to drive

This a case of medicine after death. If not that lost a life through this now they don’t see the reason to regulate this all this while
