Gov Adeleke Cancels Selection Of Akiriboto Oke Monarch

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has directed a stoppage of the selection process of monarch for Akiriboto Oke in Ayedaade Local Government Area of the state.

The governor directed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters to put on hold the selection of warrant chiefs with immediate effect.

He further instructed all processes till date on the subject be put on hold, insisting that due process is a must.

While advocating inclusive process, the governor posited that the stoppage of further action would enable all due diligence to be conducted and enforced

He said: “We must continue to uphold due process. Our success so far is built on adherence to rule of law, due process and fear of God. We must uphold those tenets that enhance our successes”, governor Adeleke was quoted as saying.
