A member of a cult group who pulled the trigger and killed a 500-Level student of the Abia State University, Emmanuel Uche, in broad daylight has been arrested by the operatives of the state police command, one month after the killing, It was announced on Thursday, April 18, 2024.
It will be recalled that a video trended last month when two cult members, wearing black outfits, pursued the undergraduate at a location in the state. While one of the cult members was seen recording the student who was drenched in his blood on his phone, the other brough out a pistol and shot him dead.

However, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, while giving an update on the matter, disclosed on her X handle on Thursday that the cult member who pulled the trigger had been arrested.
According to her, the young man, whose name was given as Emmanuel Victor, and who was described as the “principal suspect,” was arrested by a team of police detectives from the state police command at the Isiukwuato area of the state.

The Police PRO added that the cult member had confessed to the crime, giving policemen details of the reasons for killing the undergraduate.
Chinaka wrote: “Acting on credible intelligence, today, 18/4/2024, at about 11: 00 a.m., a team of police detectives from Abia State Police Command apprehended the principal suspect at Isiukwuato. The suspect, identified as Emmanuel Victor, has confessed to the crime.”
