On Thursday, April 18, 2024, it was reported that an 18-year-old teenager was apprehended by the Lagos State police command for allegedly robbing a traveler of his possessions near the Otedola Bridge area. The arrest was made after the traveler raised an alarm.
The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed on his official Twitter handle that the arrest of Nurudeen Hassan, the teenager involved, was announced around 5:45 a.m. on Thursday by patrol officers from the Alausa Division of the command.
Hundeyin posted on Thursday about the apprehension of the traffic robber and the recovery of the dagger from him.
It was reported that the teenager’s wrongdoing came to light when the traveler raised an alarm, stating that the teenager had attacked and robbed him of all his belongings, presumably after his car broke down on the bridge.
Hundeyin stated that in response to the alarm, the police patrol team pursued and apprehended him. During his arrest, a dagger was found in his possession.
The Police PRO disclosed that investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Recovered from the suspect was one dagger. Investigation is ongoing.”
