Food crisis: Peter Obi raises alarm, says terrorists, bandits’ causes for food inflation & scarcity

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general election, Peter Obi, has issued a dire warning, stating that hunger and famine loom over Nigeria if farmers continue to be denied access to their farms by bandits and terrorists.

Obi’s concerns were sparked by recent publications and warnings from international agencies regarding the worsening food insecurity in Nigeria. He emphasized the need for urgent attention to address these alarming trends.

Expressing his worries, Obi highlighted a report indicating a significant increase in the number of food-insecure Nigerians, with millions facing acute hunger and resorting to crisis-level coping strategies.

He noted that the situation is even more dire than reported, with many Nigerians losing their lives due to hunger-related issues.

People might say it’s because he didn’t win the election that why he is saying this
But come to think of it it the fact
Security has to be provided for everyone not even only the farmers alone

If insecurity reduce then I believe there will be a better nation

We are facing a high level of insecurity in this country.
The bandits and herdsmen has been attacking the farmers making them to abandon their farmland
The government really has have to do something about this

Ever since the bandit and herdsmen wahala emerged, fear has gridged the heart of farmers making them to abandon their farmlands and this in turn has resulted in increase in food scarcity.
truly, something has to be done with immediate alacrity to reassured and ascertain the security once again.

I believe government can do something about this situation if they really want to, but it seems they are also benefitting from this insecurity of a thing.

This is actually the plain truth, but the people in government don’t want to tackle insecurity because they are benefiting in one way or the other in it
