Nollywood actor and former presidential aspirant, Yul Edochie, has addressed criticism from those trolling him for not publicly mourning the death of his colleague, Junior Pope.
In a recent post on Instagram, Yul responded to the backlash by emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean heart and avoiding wishing evil upon others.
He expressed confidence that those who wish him harm will ultimately be disappointed. The criticism stemmed from Yul’s earlier celebration of TC Okafor, a survivor of the Anam River accident that claimed Junior Pope’s life.
While Yul congratulated TC Okafor for surviving the ordeal, some followers chastised him for not expressing condolences for Junior Pope.
Many speculated that Yul’s alleged animosity towards Junior Pope, stemming from past personal issues, influenced his response to the tragic news.
May his soul rest in perfect peace
Maybe he has problem with Jnr Pope. Mourning him or not won’t bring him back to life
I believe loved ones should always give last respect for the dealth.
Even if the two them had issues in the past that did not stop him from reacting to the news, at the end of the day we all know what we are doing
It is well ,may the soul of the dead rest in peace
Wo it is well jare.
Will anything change the fact that he’s dead.may his soul rest.
I still don’t understand his talk about having a clean heart. So who was put to shame
Omooo no matter what people say after someone else death is meaningless… May his gentle soul rest in peace
Why do people always think that
You only mourn when you do it publicly
The fact that he didn’t come to social media to mourn him doesn’t mean he is pained or turning deaf ears
Make this people rest
It is not until you post urself crying nah, u can mourn over someone without even posting on social media
May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace
Thank you …no be everything person go dey shout on top make the whole world see na
Why criticize home because he celebrated a life and decided to mourn in silence?
