Nigerian lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has criticized Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy for allegedly giving $30,000 to an individual purported to be the brother of socialite Cubana Chief Priest.
Adeyanju contends that Burna Boy’s act was a publicity stunt, suggesting that the artist has impoverished relatives in his own extended family who have not received similar assistance.
Cubana Chief Priest has denied any familial connection to the recipient of Burna Boy’s generosity. Adeyanju remarked, “The person that gave $30k for clout has more poor people in his extended family than those in Chief Priest’s family.” He further implied that providing financial aid to certain individuals might be futile, stating, “Giving money to some folks is waste.”
The person that gave $30k for clout has more poor people in his extended family than those in Chief Priest’s family. And the guy is not even Chief Priest’s brother. But assuming he’s even his brother, do you know why he has refused to help him? Giving money to some folks is waste”
